A practical handover checklist.

Before and after the appointment

• Confirm which rooms and surfaces need cleaning with the property manager or customer.
• Measure carpeted rooms and count stair flights separately. Note areas over 25 square metres.
• Photograph existing stains and wear for your own records. Tell the cleaner what caused a mark, if known.
• Choose Basic or Deep after checking the inclusions and review the final visit minimum.
• Agree on the access contact, parking, keys, apartment level and lift arrangements before arrival.
• Remove loose belongings and fragile items; discuss large furniture before the visit.
• Allow time between cleaning and handover for the carpet to dry. Ask for guidance based on the conditions.
• Keep the cleaning receipt and agreed service list with your handover records.
• Inspect the result when practical and raise any questions directly with Doctor Carpet.
